These three virtual indoor grow rooms have been designed for your exploration, so that you may become more familiar with modern growing equipment and the ways in which it can be used. We are really excited to be able to share these rooms with our community because it will greatly help elevate growing knowledge. We believe that anyone can benefit from exploring these virtual rooms, regardless of what level grower you are. There is something in these grow rooms for everyone.

Although you could recreate one of these growing rooms exactly as designed, it’s not necessary to do so. Instead, look to these virtual rooms for new ideas and a broader understanding of how growing technology can be used to give you higher yields and better results. More specifically, these rooms will help to illuminate some environmental control pathways; will teach you a bit about advanced nutrient/pH control, reservoirs and water management ideas; and will give you a fresh way to look at CO2 enrichment, venting and air purification. We hope you enjoy your exploration and we’d like to hear your feedback.

Small Space Set-Up
An ideal closet or small area growing set up, this design uses one growlight and an Ebb and Flow hydroponic table coupled with environmental control to produce a high yield in a small space. This room introduces the basic advantages of hydroponics as well as environmental control and nutrient monitoring.

One Box to Control it all
Have you ever imagined an ideal grow space? One in which temperature, humidity, CO2, nutrients, pH, water supply, lighting, air circulation and air purification are all controlled precisely and easily…one which can even be accessed remotely? Your days of dreaming are over. Here is a realized version. Featuring the GHC -4 from Green Air and a double-sided Aerojet® from American Agritech.

Integrated and Automated
This room takes another look at the ideal grow space. Featuring a two part control system, composed of Green Air Products' MCC-1 (Master Climate Controller) linked with the Green Air CDMC Package (CO2 Monitor and Controller) and integrated with the Nutridose II Advanced Nutrient and pH Delivery system. This is our personal favorite, using tried and true industrial growing equipment.

Using high-tech equipment in a growing environment will boost plant growth exponentially while ensuring the health of your crop. Light is the limiting factor in any indoor growing system. For this reason, all other variables (nutrients, carbon dioxide, pH, temp, humidity, etc.) should be raised to optimum levels to compensate for any light deficiency. In an optimal environment, plants are able to absorb exactly what they need, resulting in accelerated growth and vibrant health.

Automated controllers are capable of handling not only light and watering cycles, but can maintain optimal nutrient, pH and CO2 levels at all times as well. To learn more about the capabilities of these controllers, check out the GHC-4 (complete greenhouse control) from Green Air, The HydroGeneral (pH and nutrient management) from Accent and the Nutridose (pH and nutrient management) from AutoGrow and the CDMC Package from Green Air.

We offer the following as an example of a somewhat complicated, but very effective reservoir system. You will become familiar with some of these if you choose to take the step to automating your hydroponic system.

This reservoir uses an EcoPlus external pump (non-submersible) for irrigating plants. Smaller systems most often use submersible models. The NK-1 pump in this diagram is attached to a drain line for easy reservoir maintenance. The two lines on the left and the small pump go to a 'sample pot' for an automated nutrient/pH dosing machine such as the HydroGeneral or the GHC-IV. In this case, two more PVC tubes (not depicted in this image) would enter the top of the reservoir. One would be for nutrient dosing and the other for pH. A float valve is attached to the right side of the reservoir, with a city water line leading to a water tap.

Please note that this reservoir is for an aeroponic system which irrigates plant roots with a highly aerated mist. In a NFT or Ebb and Flow system, it is important to provide some form of aeration in the reservoir whether it is in the form of an air pump or a venturi.

Our favorite hydroponic systems are American Agritech’s Jet Gro Series®.While many stores offer these advanced hydro gardening systems, almost nobody offers any options on them. We offer a wide range of choices not found at other grow stores.

Every single Jet Gro® System can be customized with a wide range of options such as light stands, wheels or pump upgrades. We offer double sided growing systems like the one pictured above, or we can make your system extra long as needed.

Most system channel widths can be customized for the particular type of plant you’re growing. (Available channel widths are listed in the description of each system.) With the Jet Film® and the Aerojet®, the number plants to be grown in each channel can also be customized.

Beyond all these systems can be upgraded for serious reservoir management by adding a float valve or additional reservoirs. (See below to learn more about this topic.) We are very open to customizing theses systems to suit your needs.
